Wellbeing
At Oxley Primary School we support the whole child. We know that students who are happy, healthy and safe are best able to access their learning and be their best selves.
Buddy Program
A highlight for our Foundation students and an important leadership roll for our senior students.
Each year our Foundation students are partnered with a Grade 6 student, the buddies meet every week to build their relationship and help the Foundations to settle into their schooling journey.

Breakfast Club
We offer Breakfast Club on Wednesday's 8.30-9.00. All students are welcome to come and enjoy a healthy breakfast so they're ready to take on the day.
Breakfast Club is generously run by volunteers from the Oxley Residents Association.
Kids in Charge
Each year our students elect four Grade 6 captains to represent their voices. These students then lead Kids in Charge (KIC) to run different initiatives throughout the year. Previous projects have been bike riding to school and establishing our bike riding track at school, lunchtime clubs and fun days.
Any student from Grade 3 to Grade 6 can self-nominate to join KIC for a term with a project they're interested in. This is a great opportunity for our students to have a say in how their school runs and students learn team work and leadership skills, public speaking and organisation.

Sensory Room
At Oxley Primary School we are fortunate to be able to offer our students a sensory and wellbeing room as a quiet space where they can regulate before rejoining their peers and learning.
We know that sometimes the buzz of a classroom or school yard can be overstimulating and this space is quiet and has various sensory activities available for students to choose to use to feel calm.
Bike Riding
Tucked away at the back of our school is a student created bike riding track. This has been purely lead by student voice, as they have spent countless hours on the tools designing and finessing the track. The students show cooperation across age groups when building the jumps and it is a great opportunity for students to showoff their different skills.
Every Friday Oxley Primary School students are invited to bring their bikes to school to ride at recess and lunch. We have a dedicated bike shed where bikes can be stored and we encourage students to ride to school along the bike path.
